About Clashmore National School

Clashmore National School opened in 1966 with 86 pupils and two teachers. From this period onwards, the school went from strength to strength.

Today the school has four mainstream class teachers, one full time Special Education teacher, a shared Special Education teacher, three Special Needs Assistants, a part-time secretary and caretaker, with eighty-four children on the roll.

Our school slogan ‘Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí’ underpins and encapsulates the hard-working ethos exhibited by our staff. We are very fortunate to have a very committed and supportive Board of Management and Parents’ Association.

Mission Statement:
Clashmore National School is a co-educational, Catholic primary school which strives to provide a well-ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and addressed.

While Clashmore National School is a school with a Catholic ethos, it also has due recognition of all other religions.

Clashmore National School will endeavour to enhance the self-esteem of everyone in the school community, to imbue in the pupils respect for people and property and to encourage in them the idea of being responsible so that they will become good citizens in society.
