Confirmation Day

We have been extremely busy this term in 5 th and 6 th Class. We worked very hard to prepare for our Confirmation. We learned prayers, songs, completed a Confirmation scrapbook and
Confirmation artwork. Our Ceremony of Light was held on 6 th March in Clashmore Church and our Confirmation took place on 20 th March in Kinsalebeg. We really enjoyed these two occasions and are very proud of the work we have done in the lead up to these events. We hope that everyone who came had a lovely day.

Recently we were very lucky to have had a visit from the RNLI. We learned lots about water safety and the work the RNLI do. We found this visit very interesting and had lots of great questions to ask. We are extremely grateful to all of those who volunteer at the RNLI.

We have also started swimming lessons this term. Everyone is thoroughly enjoying this experience and are learning a great life-long skill. Each week we are improving our skills and doing our best to become the best swimmers we can be.

We have also been doing lots of wonderful art work. Here are some pictures of the art we have done since January.

5th and 6th Class 2022

In 5th and 6th Class we have been busy doing lots of different things so far this year. The boys and girls participated in a football blitz against other schools. The girls were very lucky and recently won their football final. We have also been enjoying making Halloween art. We drew and coloured pictures of Frankenstein and drew spooky portraits inspired by Tim Burton. In Science, we were learning about plants. We carried out an experiment to see what plants need to grow. We are also completing projects on ‘Farming in Ireland’ for Geography.
