A Message from The Board of Management of Clashmore National School

Dear Pupils, Parents and Staff,
After a very different and difficult year, we now look forward to a time of joy, peace, happiness and good times with our families as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. On behalf of the Board of Management, I would like to thank everyone in the school community for your support and co-operation since we came back to school in September. A very special word of thanks and praise to our pupils, Mrs. Flavin and all the staff at Clashmore NS for their hard work and commitment in these strange times.
Wishing you a safe and blessed Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.
David P. Simento
Chairperson – BOM

Dear Parents/Guardians,
It is hard to believe that we have now reached the momentous milestone of our Christmas holidays! I would like to sincerely thank our entire school community for their co-operation and support in helping to keep us all safe. Christmas is a time for family, so I wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and every blessing for the coming year. Please see updates below.

1. School Recordings on Community Radio Youghal- Cry Fm
The hills in the Clashmore vicinity were alive with the sound of music on the 8th December, as the children enjoyed making their recordings outside with Community Radio Youghal. These recordings will be aired on Monday 21st December at 4pm.

2. Festive Activities!
It was beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in Clashmore National School this week, as the children enjoyed watching the Christmas Panto online on 16th December. I am extremely grateful to the Parents` Association who covered the cost of the Christmas Panto and the Christmas Annuals. There were lots of lovely Christmas jumpers spotted all over the school yesterday (17th December) in aid of our annual fundraiser for the Dungarvan Lions Club.

I wish to thank everyone who contributed to this worthy cause. The children were delighted to receive a socially distanced visit from Santa and his elves outside the school yesterday. They were equally thrilled with the gifts (selection boxes) that Santa left for them! I wish to extend my gratitude to the Clashmore and Kinsalebeg Community Council for organising this and for covering the cost of the selection boxes. Tá muid fíor-bhuíoch.
